Megapartner MGS: The Manipulator With The Largest Safe Working Load Can Now Be Overhead Trolley Mounted

· Product news

Lifting equipment: an investment for the future

In an ever-evolving manufacturing sector, companies are always looking for innovative solutions to improve efficiency, productivity and safety. Implementing industrial manipulators is one of the best ways to achieve these distinct yet interconnected goals. Assisted lifting devices are particularly useful, simplifying physically demanding operations.

Dalmec are pleased to introduce the new overhead trolley mounted system for the Megapartner manipulator, specifically engineered to lift heavy loads up to 1500 kg and provide a reach of 5 metres for loads up to 650 kg.

The benefit of the overhead trolley mounted system is that the shop floor remains clear, so the operator can travel the length of the runway without encumbrance.

Where the Megapartner earns its keep

In applications where the load is heavy, the placement is precise and the floor is congested:

  • The overhead trolley mounted system avoids existing floor obstructions
  • Precise handling, where accuracy matters as much as capacity
  • Assembly lines feeding large or heavy components across multiple stations in a controlled and safe manner
  • Reaching off-limit areas where a column mounted lift assist simply cannot go where the work needs to happen
  • An alternative to overhead cranes, which require two people and give slow handling and inaccurate placement

The Megapartner Overhead Trolley Mounted System is an ideal solution for a customer’s specific handling requirements, so please get in touch to book a free site survey — email sales@dalmecltd.co.uk or call us on 01256 814420.

Inside the overhead trolley mounted system

Runways

The runways are made up of two pairs of aluminium rails positioned parallel and opposite, joined with transverse beams that provide support and stability to the rails. The suspension of the runways occurs using structural elements (tie rods) that support and keep the structure in position.

Trolley

The trolley, designed to uniformly distribute the weight on the sliding trolleys, is made of steel to withstand heavy loads and ensure rigidity. A specially perforated plate placed in the centre of a sturdy frame allows the manipulator to be securely fitted.

Sliding trolleys

The sliding trolleys, designed and manufactured to manage and absorb the moments and dynamic forces that occur during handling, are completed with wheels and containment rollers allowing a fluid and dynamic movement.

Motorisation

The pneumatic handling is carried out with two motorisation units positioned on opposite and crossed sides of the trolley, obtaining a controlled and safe movement along the entire runway.
