Nothing optional loads without your agreement
The first time you visit, we ask about two optional extras: visit statistics (Google Analytics) and the home page video (YouTube). Each has its own yes or no, nothing is ticked in advance, and neither loads until you agree. You can change your answer at any time from the Cookie choices link at the foot of every page.
We remember your answers in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie.
Otherwise:
- No advertising or retargeting. Nothing you do here follows you to other sites.
- No third-party fonts. Fonts are served from this website, so no font provider receives your IP address.
- No social media pixels. Links to our Facebook and YouTube pages are ordinary links.
Visit statistics (Google Analytics)
If you agree, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits, see which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from, so we can tell what is useful. It sets these cookies:

Google processes this data under its own privacy notice and terms. We do not use it for advertising and do not combine it with other data about you. If you say no, or later withdraw your agreement, nothing is sent and the cookies are removed.
The home page video
The video at the top of our home page is hosted by YouTube. Playing it means YouTube receives your IP address and may store data on your device, under its own terms and privacy notice.
That is why you are asked first. Nothing is sent to YouTube unless you choose Play the video. If you say no, you see a still image instead. We remember your answer in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie, and you can change it at any time from the Cookie choices link at the foot of every page.
If your device or browser is set to reduce motion, the video does not load at all and you see a still image instead. Most browsers and operating systems offer this setting under accessibility or display preferences.
Videos elsewhere on the site are hosted by YouTube, and none of them loads until you choose to press play. Once you do, YouTube receives your IP address and may store data on your device, under its own terms and privacy notice.
Spam protection on our contact form
Our contact page is protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3, which tells genuine enquiries apart from automated spam. Without it the form would be unusable for our team.
Two things are worth knowing:
- Nothing is sent to Google unless you start filling the form in. The reCAPTCHA script is only fetched once you click or tab into one of the fields. If you read the contact page and leave without touching the form, Google is never contacted. From the moment it does load, Google receives your IP address and information about your browser, and may read or store data on your device — it works by scoring how you interact with the page.
- It runs on the contact page only. No other page on this site loads it. Google Analytics and YouTube, if you agree to them, are the only other third parties the site uses.
Google’s privacy notice and terms govern the data reCAPTCHA collects. If you would rather not use the form, you can call us on 01256 814420 or email sales@dalmecltd.co.uk instead, and no reCAPTCHA data is collected.

Links to Google Maps, our parent company Dalmec SpA, and our social media pages take you to websites we do not control. Those sites set their own cookies and publish their own policies.
Server logs
Our web host keeps standard server logs to operate and secure the site. These are not cookies and are not used to track you across websites.
If what this site uses changes, this page will be updated before the change goes live.
